The CARPA management committee is deeply saddened to share the unexpected passing of Chris Perry on the 20th of December 2025.
Chris was a valued colleague whose dedication, integrity, and kindness made a lasting impact. His contributions and presence will be greatly missed.
Chris joined the CARPA Management Committee in 2017 and quickly became a highly valued member. Despite an already demanding professional workload, he contributed generously and consistently to CARPA’s governance.
With a background in nursing, research, and ethics, Chris brought clear, thoughtful, and principled input to committee discussions. He represented CARPA on the Remote Primary Health Care Manuals (RPHCM) Governance Committee and was a strong advocate for the integrity, transparency, and continuation of the RPHCM, particularly the CARPA Standard Treatment Manual. His work was always guided by a clear commitment to supporting clinicians working in remote settings.
Chris also played key roles in linking CARPA with the Climate and Health Alliance, contributing to the CARPA Leadership Scholarship Framework, and serving as Treasurer, where he provided careful oversight of CARPA’s finances. All his work for CARPA was undertaken on a voluntary basis. Much of Chris’s contribution occurred behind the scenes through detailed background work, document preparation, and support for fellow committee members. He was a steady, thoughtful influence whose dedication and commitment will be deeply missed.
Our thoughts are with Chris’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
